Do you enjoy breaking down tech talk for everyone, from total beginners to professionals? Combining strong communication skills with technical know-how, a Puget Systems Sales Representative helps customers find the right system for their computing needs. In this role, you’ll guide purchasing decisions and ensure a smooth customer experience from initial contact to delivery or pickup.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES MAY INCLUDE: 30 days and ongoing:
  • Learns Puget Systems’ services, processes, procedures, and purpose as well as its customers and its position in the industry.
  • Attends new hire orientation and engages with meet-and-greets with all departments, acquiring knowledge about individual roles, understanding the organizational culture, workflow dynamics, overall business operations, and establishing initial connections for relationship-building.
  • Completes prerequisite training for new hires through the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Displays familiarity with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) of the department.
  • Learns and has a basic understanding of our Order Interface.
  • Learns to review and generate quotes.
  • Begins learning to process various orders including purchase orders, credit card, check, and ACH or WIRE payment orders.
  • Gains proficiency in scheduling Zoom or virtual meetings.
  • Attend regular team meetings.
  • Shadows each sales representative, gaining insights into various techniques, tips, and tricks used in the role.
  • Engages in a 30‑day check in with the Sales Manager, the People and Culture Manager, and the President to discuss progress, address concerns, and align goals.
3-6 months and ongoing:
  • Engages in progression discussions with Sales SME and Sales Manager.
  • Handles and processes various order types. Begins to process priority build orders, tax‑exempt orders, Ariba orders, freight orders, Gov & Edu orders, and partial payment orders.
  • Gains understanding of the net terms onboarding process.
  • Acquires knowledge of the shipping redirect request process.
  • Acquires the skill to handle email requests or Hub Spot inquiries for quotes from unregistered customers.
  • Is successfully supporting customers for in‑person pick‑ups.
  • Learns the skill of creating Hub Spot templates and snippets.
  • Learns how to merge Hub Spot contacts and becomes proficient in logging calls.
  • Move orders to new accounts within our order interface.
  • Learns to move deals through deal stages within Hub Spot.
  • Learns to merge Dialpad contacts.
  • Knows who to go to for guidance when faced with unknown answers.
12 months and ongoing:
  • Demonstrates self‑reliance and the ability to work independently, effectively managing tasks and responsibilities without constant supervision or direction.
  • Participates in sales meetings to address change requests, discuss sales goals, and engage in conversations about trending topics.
  • Contributes to monthly team meetings, participating in the review of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and engaging in discussions about additions or removals.
  • Is providing backup support to fellow sales representatives, showcasing a willingness to contribute beyond individual responsibilities based on comfort and proficiency levels.
  • Initiates and leads special projects driven by personal interests or organizational needs.
  • Participates in two formal one‑on‑one meetings, per calendar year, to review progression sheets, collaboratively determine goals, and maintain constant ongoing conversations with the Direct Manager for continuous feedback and development discussions.
  • Coordinates and manages a minimum of 3 customer pick‑ups.
  • Independently creates Hub Spot templates and snippets.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in moving deals through deal stages.
  • Proficiently utilizes sequences in Hub Spot for effective communication.
  • Is resourceful at problem‑solving and knows where to find answers and who to consult.
  • Manages and addresses a fair share of inquiries and calls, averaging 3‑4 daily.
  • Conducts reviews of call logs and order details, demonstrating proficiency in addressing pertinent topics and providing prompt responses to customer inquiries.
