Mechanic, Trades ​/ Skilled Labor

About The Role

At Span Alaska Transportation, we keep Alaska moving and our Mechanics are critical to making that happen. In this hands-on Mechanic role, you’ll ensure our fleet operates safely, reliably, and efficiently by performing diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and repairs on trucks and heavy equipment.

• Fleet Maintenance & Repair:
  Perform preventative maintenance on forklifts; diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical systems; complete DOT inspections.
• Diagnostics & Troubleshooting:
  Identify mechanical issues and test repairs.
• Operational Support:
  Generate and complete work orders; maintain clean and safe workspace.
• Team
  
  Collaboration:
  
  Partner with drivers and operations teams.

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years mechanic experience
• Strong troubleshooting skills

• CDL (Class A or
  
  B)
• Air Brake Certification

• Ability to lift, bend, and work in various conditions

The hourly range is posted for this position in Washington. The hourly rate will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations.
