Trades Assistant (HS diploma or equivalent) – $20.76 – $21 per hour
Tradesperson 1 (HS diploma and 1 year related experience, or Trade School or equivalent) – $21 – $22 per hour
Tradesperson 2 (High School education, or Trade School or equivalent, and 2 years of related experience) – $25 – $27 per hour
Tradesperson 3 (High School education, or Trade School or equivalent, and 4 years of related experience) – $28 – $32 per hour
Tradesperson 4 (High School education, or Trade School or equivalent, and 6 years of related experience) – $31 – $38 per hour
Tech Subject Matter Expert (High School education, or Trade School or equivalent, and 8 years of related experience, including specific systems expertise) – $35 – $44 per hour
What You Will Do• Perform installation, operation, maintenance, repair, and modification of equipment and systems across various platforms and technical environments.
• Support system upgrades, removals, troubleshooting, and modernization efforts using appropriate technical tools and methods.
• Conduct technical support on equipment, integrated systems, and associated software at customer or field locations.
• Evaluate system performance, diagnose malfunctions, and resolve issues efficiently.
• Coordinate work in alignment with engineering changes and maintain effective communication with customers.
• Provide onsite training to support personnel as needed.
• Apply knowledge of production methods, processes, and procedures while assisting with technical documentation such as work packages, procedures, test documents, and reports.
• Perform tasks outside the primary specialty when needed to complete assignments.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security clearance.
- Must be able to obtain base and ship access.
- Must be able to work from blueprints, engineering sketches, charts or work orders as well as written and verbal instruction as needed.
- High School education, or Trade School or equivalent, and 0 – 8 years of related experience.
- Must provide own hand tools as designated per trade specialty.
- Candidate with experience/knowledge in various welding processes for all positions. Welder candidates must demonstrate welding ability on needed processes through qualification testing and pass with a satisfactory grade from our Quality Assurance Team within the first three weeks from start date for continued employment.
- Alteration Installation Team (AIT) experience.
- Current or previous electrical/mechanical experience.
- Candidate with shipboard experience highly desired.
- Candidates who are currently enrolled or have graduated from or completed a vocational school or skilled trades certificate program are preferred.
- Current OSHA 10 Maritime Certificate a plus.
Must be able to lift, carry and transport heavy equipment and boxes (no less than 30 lbs). Able to work on and climb ladders, work in extreme temperature environments, aboard ships, in shipyards, under industrial conditions and in confined spaces. Able to perform other duties as required which may involve high heat, humidity, noise and dirty conditions, working aloft or over the sides of vessels.
May ride ships at sea for extended periods. May require wearing a respirator. Travel may be required within and outside of the continental United States.
