Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

Inspect, diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on machinery and mechanical equipment. Perform various facilities maintenance activities.

• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, mechanical, and similar problems on machinery/equipment and perform timely repairs
• Establish appropriate frequency and perform regular preventive maintenance activities on all machinery/equipment in the facility
• Perform timely facility/building maintenance and minor repairs, and maintain a clean and safe work area
• Dismantle defective machines/equipment and install new or repaired equipment
• Maintain accurate records of all inspections, tests, and repairs
• Coordinate and make recommendations on work-related contracts and services
• Supervise outside contractors when needed for mechanical and electrical repairs and maintenance
• Participate, support, and comply with all health, safety, quality, and Lean initiatives and requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• This is a Safety Sensitive role; the company is dedicated to the safety of all employees, and we are looking for candidates that are safety oriented to join our team.
• Demonstrate mechanical and technical aptitude
• 3-5 years experience in an industrial, maintenance environment
• College degree or certificate in a technical area or related field
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings

Pay: $29.00 - $36.13 per hour

• Holiday Pay:
  For a 5-day 8-hour shift you will receive up to 88 hours of holiday pay, for a 4-day 10-hour shift, you will receive up to 80 hours of holiday pay, and for a 3-day 12-hour shift you will receive up to 72 hours of holiday pay depending on the date of hire and the holiday schedule posted as it changes yearly
