Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift

Job Summary Inspect, diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on machinery and mechanical equipment. Perform various facilities maintenance activities.

This position has been identified as “safety sensitive” by thyssenkrupp under applicable laws in the state of Washington. Shift: 4am - 4:30pm (Friday-Sunday)

Key Accountabilities:

Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, mechanical, and similar problems on machinery/equipment and perform timely repairs

Establish appropriate frequency and perform regular preventive maintenance activities on all machinery/equipment in the facility

Perform timely facility/building maintenance and minor repairs, and maintain a clean and safe work area Dismantle defective machines/equipment and install new or repaired equipment

Maintain accurate records of all inspections, tests, and repairs

Coordinate and make recommendations on work-related contracts and services

Supervise outside contractors when needed for mechanical and electrical repairs and maintenance

Participate, support, and comply with all health, safety, quality, and Lean initiatives and requirements

Minimum Requirements:

Strong mechanical skills and willingness to learn and grow in technical areas1-2 years experience in an industrial, maintenance environment

College degree or certificate in a technical area or related field

Good interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to read and basic understanding of blueprints and shop drawings

Nice to haves:

Basic electrical troubleshooting and repair skills

Experience with automotive repair or car maintenance

Knowledge of vehicle engines and mechanical systems

Familiarity with diagnostic tools used in car maintenance
