Role DescriptionThe Maintenance Mechanic is a full-time, on-site role based in the Washington DC–Baltimore Area. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production and facility equipment to support safe, efficient dairy operations. Day-to-day tasks include performing routine inspections, diagnosing mechanical issues, completing corrective and preventive maintenance, and documenting all work performed. The Maintenance Mechanic will collaborate with production, quality, and safety teams to minimize downtime, support continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
The role may also involve supporting equipment installations, following work orders, and responding to urgent maintenance requests as needed.
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Equipment Maintenance and Industrial Maintenance.
- Candidates should possess skills in Maintenance & Repair and Corrective Maintenance.
- Candidates should possess skills in Preventive Maintenance and routine equipment inspections.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and work orders.
- Experience working with industrial or food production equipment is beneficial.
- Solid understanding of safety practices and regulatory requirements in a manufacturing environment.
- Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in mechanical, industrial, or maintenance fields is a plus.
