A solar panel installer is responsible for installing, maintaining and troubleshooting solar panel systems on residential or commercial properties. They must have a strong understanding of electrical systems and be able to read and interpret technical diagrams. This position requires working outdoors in various weather conditions, climbing onto roofs and using power tools. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in solar panel installation and hold relevant certifications.
They must also possess physical strength and stamina to carry heavy equipment and materials. Good communication skills are essential as they will be interacting with customers and other team members on a daily basis. This job is suitable for individuals who are detail-oriented, safety-conscious and have a passion for renewable energy.
The solar panel installer will be responsible for the following duties:
- Installing solar panels according to project specifications
- Conducting site surveys to determine the best location for the panels
- Ensuring all electrical connections are properly installed
- Troubleshooting any issues that arise during the installation process
- Maintaining tools and equipment in good working condition
- Providing excellent customer service by addressing any concerns or questions
- Complying with safety regulations and protocols at all times
Requirements:
- Previous experience in solar panel installation is preferred
- Relevant certifications such as NABCEP or OSHA are a plus
- Ability to read technical diagrams and blueprints
- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy equipment
- Excellent communication skills
- Detail-oriented with a focus on safety
- Must be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Valid driver's license
Salary:
The salary for this position starts at $1300 per week with potential for bonuses based on performance.
