Dhaka Technologies Limited Company (DTLC) is hiring a highly experienced Facilitator for a client in Washington, DC. The Facilitator is responsible for planning, conducting, and managing meetings to ensure that they are productive and focused. The role involves setting agendas, guiding discussions, keeping all participants engaged, and ensuring that meeting objectives are met. This position requires a deep understanding of business principles along with the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
This is a hybrid role of 30 hours per week, open only to candidates local to the DMV area.
Preparation
- Coordinate with meeting organizers to understand objectives and prepare an agenda.
- Ensure that all necessary materials and equipment are available and functional.
- Distribute agendas and pre-meeting materials to participants in advance.
Meeting Facilitation
- Serve as the master of ceremonies.
- Guide discussions to keep the meeting on track and ensure that all agenda items are covered.
- Encourage participation from all attendees and manage group dynamics.
- Address conflicts and ensure that all viewpoints are heard and considered.
Follow-Up
- Summarize key discussion points, decisions, and action items.
- Distribute meeting minutes or summaries to participants promptly.
- Track progress on action items and follow up as needed.
Evaluation
- Gather feedback from participants to assess the effectiveness of each meeting.
- Continuously improve facilitation techniques based on feedback and experience.
- 10+ years of experience as a meeting facilitator in the public sector
- Extensive experience providing consulting services to governmental entities or in a field of specialization
- Experience designing public town hall type meetings and other convenings on public policy issues
- Experience in state or local government, preferably within the District of Columbia government
- Experience working with diverse audiences
- Compelling and competent public speaker
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- Candidates must be local to the DMV area
- Bachelor's degree required
- Master's degree or higher preferred
- This is a hybrid position based in Washington, DC 20004, and is open only to candidates local to the DMV area.
- The schedule is 30 hours per week.
- The final interview will be conducted in person.
