Fitness Instructor- Group Classes

Position Details

Join our dynamic fitness team and help our community stay active, healthy, and inspired!

We're looking for enthusiastic and certified fitness instructors to lead a variety of group classes including Zumba, Yoga, Barre, Boot Camp, HIIT Circuit, Kickboxing, Low-Impact Aerobics, Step, and more. If you have experience in other formats, we'd love to hear from you!

Current Needs

We are especially seeking instructors certified in:

* Zumba

* Yoga

* MOSSA

* Silver Sneakers

* SAIL (Staying Active & Independent for Life)

Class Schedule

Classes are offered:

* Monday-Friday:8:00 a.m.

- 1:00 p.m.

* Monday-Thursday evenings:4:00 p.m.

- 9:00 p.m.

* Saturday mornings:8:00 a.m.

- 11:00 a.m.

Your schedule will be coordinated with the Fitness Coordinator.

Primary Duties

Our Fitness Instructor will:

* Lead safe, engaging, and effective group fitness classes.

* Demonstrate proper exercise techniques and provide form corrections.

* Encourage and support participants in achieving their fitness goals.

* Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive team culture.

* Instruct in-person, virtual (via Zoom), or hybrid classes (training and equipment provided).

* Follow all health and safety protocols, including mask requirements as needed.

* Ensure all equipment is cleaned and sanitized after use.

Working Conditions & Physical Activities

Work will be conducted in a community center fitness program setting. The environment could be noisy with a lot of activity coming and going. Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, stoop, run, and lift.

Minimum Qualifications

* Must be at least 21 years of age or older.

* Maintain current CPR certification/obtain CPR Certification prior to start date.

* Must have a Fitness Instructor Certification (may vary) or MOSSA Certification.

* Ability to pass a background check.
