Job Description

Position:
Accounting Associate

Qualifications & Experience

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or equivalent experience. Should also have 2‑5 years of work experience with private or public company. Certified public accountant (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) a plus.

Must be self‑motivated, multi‑tasker and able to work in a dynamic fast paced environment.

  • Exemplary proficiency and excellence in accounting and auditing including the following:
  • Intermediate to Advanced computer skills (especially spreadsheet and word processing)
  • Proficient in audit workpaper documentation utilizing audit software
  • Proficient with Quick Books
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet critical deadlines.
  • Willingness to work flexible schedule during peak periods
  • Dependable and punctual
  • The ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to execute scheduled audits including planning, preparation, execution, reporting and follow‑up
  • Develop audit scopes, including risk assessment and evaluation of internal controls
  • Demonstrate high standards of conduct and ethics
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to establish and build rapport with clients
Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of audit processes, procedures and methodologies
  • Developing & monitoring customized audit program
  • Planning and performing financial, performance and compliance audits to ensure compliance with applicable local, state and federal regulations, and generally accepted governmental audit standards
  • Apply logic and critical thinking processes to identify the strength and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
  • Prepare Audit & Executive Summary Reports
  • Assist in bookkeeping/write‑up and the preparation of individual and business tax returns for clients in various industries
  • Complete special projects and/ or ad‑hoc projects with minimal supervision and direction
  • Assist with general admin tasks (e.g., answering calls, filing, scanning, copying, running errands)
