Job Summary

This position supports the department director in planning, organizing, and managing administrative functions.

Responsibilities
  • Provide customer service to students, employees, and visitors; oversee all administrative functions.
  • Process department billing including Banner billing, reconcile deposits, monitor vendor payments, create and approve requisitions, and manage p‑card transactions.
  • Train and supervise support staff, maintain payroll and leave records, and resolve personnel matters.
  • Manage budgets, purchase office supplies and equipment, and submit requisitions and budget amendments.
  • Communicate policies and ensure compliance; serve as a resource for staff and students.
  • Reconcile departmental accounts and assist in financial operations for Copy and Print Services.
  • Execute special projects and other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent with a minimum of nine years of progressively responsible office support experience, or Associate’s Degree with six years of progressively responsible office support experience.
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, multi‑tasking, organizational, and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and other computer software/databases.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, maintain confidentiality, keep accurate records, and make independent decisions.
Compensation & Benefits

Shift: Days, Monday–Friday
Pay Band: 5
Hourly rate: $17.88–$21.14 (commensurate with qualifications)
Benefits:
Health, dental, life insurance, retirement plan, vacation, sick leave, 13 paid holidays; tuition assistance for eligible full‑time employees after 6 months.

Conditions of Employment

Background check, credit check (for P‑Card use), vehicle reports if driving a university vehicle. Faculty hires must provide academic credentials.
