Job QualificationsEducation: High school diploma, associate’s degree, and/or related experience preferred.
Certification or Licensure: None
Skills: Ability to perform clerical tasks such as typing, word processing, filing, and answering phones; knowledge of basic office machines; effective written and oral communication; organizational skills; independent judgment; ability to work across functional boundaries; technology skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
Work Experience: Two years of office or clerical experience preferred; experience in a school setting preferred.
Primary DutyThis position serves as a receptionist and provides clerical support for tracking and maintaining student attendance records in support of teaching and learning.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Perform clerical duties for the school including maintaining discipline and attendance reports.
- File discipline and attendance materials, records, reports, and correspondence in a timely manner.
- Maintain and organize records for all incoming students.
- Prepare daily absentee reports and distribute to teachers.
- Maintain a daily record of attendance and total enrollment and communicate this information with the appropriate parties.
- Complete absence verification calls to parents and issue tardy notices.
- Prepare data for tribunals, court referrals, and hearings.
- Type attendance warning letters.
- Identify issues and report to administrators in a timely manner.
- Handle student excuses and early dismissals.
- Maintain the sign-in/out registration process for students.
- Prepare vandalism reports.
- Process information requests accurately and quickly as assigned.
- Operate and maintain routine office equipment.
- Communicate with all parties in a businesslike, courteous, and efficient manner.
- Carry out other duties as assigned or required by supervisors, school personnel, or policy regulations, as reasonably necessary for the efficient operation of the school system and its mission.

Job Requirements- At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
