This position serves as the assistant to the Director of the Center for Immunology, ensuring compliance with institutional, state, and federal regulations, managing administrative tasks, and coordinating projects and travel. The role requires handling confidential data, preparing faculty evaluations, managing center finances, and supporting center operations.
Responsibilities- Coordinate all activities for the Center Director, including scheduling meetings and handling confidential correspondence.
- Arrange faculty and staff travel, reimbursements, and itineraries.
- Collect and compile data and appropriate forms for yearly evaluations, promotions, and tenure; work with faculty to compile P&T portfolios.
- Assist the Center Manager/Administrator with leave scheduling and arrangements for guest speakers.
- Maintain a database of awards for immunology faculty and staff.
- Assist in acquiring clinical samples for ongoing studies, enter data into ONCORE database, and coordinate with lab technician for sample processing.
- Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and at least four years of progressively responsible administrative experience, OR a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent plus seven years of progressively responsible administrative experience.
- Knowledge:
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases. - Skills:
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication; detail-oriented. - Abilities:
Maintain confidentiality.
- Shift: Days, Monday - Friday.
- Salary: $17.88 - $21.92 per hour (commensurate with qualifications within range B5).
- Job funded through external sources; continued employment contingent on availability of funds.
