Primary Responsibilities
  • Provide general administrative and clerical support to the Cluster Superintendents of School Operations and Support and assist with functions and activities within the School Improvement and Operations Division.
  • Take and transcribe dictation of letters, memos, reports, and minutes of meetings.
  • Maintain an accurate schedule of activities for the supervisor and keep them informed of the schedule.
  • Prepare minutes, reports, work orders, memoranda, and purchase orders as needed to maintain efficient operation.
  • Develop spreadsheets, graphs, charts, and presentation documents.
  • Perform general clerical duties and maintain an effective and efficiently run office.
  • Apply software and technology to produce quality documents and materials; maintain appropriate production rate and streamline routine tasks to manage time effectively.
  • Communicate with others in a businesslike, courteous, and efficient manner.
  • Act as department receptionist in person and over the telephone; ensure correspondence conforms to standard English usage; utilize telecommunication equipment appropriately; route incoming and outgoing correspondence accurately.
  • Establish effective public relations among internal and external audiences; represent the division professionally in all communications; assist the public graciously and effectively.
  • Assist the public requesting information with appropriate division personnel.
  • Cooperate with and maintain positive relationships with other divisional and school system employees.
  • Assist with new projects as assigned; perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods. The employee may talk, hear, stand, and walk. Ability to use hands to touch, handle, or feel. May stoop, kneel, or crouch. May lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
