Overview
The People Analytics Intern is a hands‑on opportunity for those interested in the intersection of People and data. Working alongside the People team, this intern will support the collection, analysis, and presentation of workforce data to help inform people strategies across the organization.
Responsibilities- Assist in building and running reports, dashboards, and data models using Workday and other data tools to support People metrics and decision‑making.
- Help gather, clean, and organize People data sets to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Support the team in analyzing workforce trends—such as headcount, turnover, and engagement—and presenting findings in a clear, visual format.
- Research industry best practices in People data analytics and bring forward ideas for improvement.
- Contribute to ad‑hoc data requests from People and business partners, helping ensure timely and accurate responses.
- Assist in documenting data processes.
- Participate in team meetings and cross‑functional conversations, gaining exposure to how data supports broader People strategies.
- Help evaluate the quality of new data sources or reporting approaches as the team continues to grow its analytics capabilities.
- Perform quantitative and qualitative data analysis to produce reports, assessments, and proposals that will help organizational leaders make informed and data‑driven business decisions.
- Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business partners, vendors, and the People team.
Skills and Abilities
- Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel, experience required.
- Skilled in using technology tools and data visualization tools including R, Tableau, and Human Capital Management (HCM) platforms;
Workday preferred. - Skilled in using statistical analysis tools.
- Excellent time management skills, including multi-tasking, managing deadlines, and providing project oversight.
- Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills to effectively communicate with staff at all organizational levels.
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to maintain trust and integrity when working with confidential situations and information.
- Ability to work collaboratively across a variety of business units within the organization.
- A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques.
Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, mathematics, statistics, or another related field of study.
Experience using statistical software and data visualization tools.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for prolonged periods and occasionally walk, stand, bend, stoop, and lift up to 15 pounds. Required to have close visual acuity to perform the job.
