Position: Operations & Distribution Manager (Consulting Engagement)

Overview

DeWolff, Boberg & Associates provides management consulting across industries with over 35 years of experience. Management Consultants gain exposure to Fortune 500 clients, coaching frontline managers and supervisors in behavioral changes that drive sustainable performance and financial improvements. Consultants customize solutions for a client’s people, processes and environment to achieve improvements in productivity, quality, service and profitability. This position requires 100% weekly travel (Sunday–Friday) to designated project locations.

Responsibilities
  • Service client organizations to solve business issues, create value, maximize growth and improve overall performance for sustainability.
  • Familiarize with client challenges and technologies to understand the environment for behavioral changes.
  • Gather, organize and analyze data on key business drivers; present information using metrics and analytics to guide decisions.
  • Understand client resource utilization to identify waste and identify opportunities for operational and performance improvement.
  • Discuss business and organizational shortcomings with clients openly and professionally to influence lasting solutions.
  • Empower frontline accountability by guiding clients through self-explorations of business segments and staff utilization.
  • Collaborate with frontline leaders daily to improve leadership and management behaviors.
  • Coach clients to address business issues with forward-thinking approaches to improve behaviors and process efficiency.
  • Assist the client with tool building and/or modification.
  • Foster teamwork and unity among project teams; resolve conflicts constructively to enable overall success.
Travel & Per Diem
  • All travel reward points and air miles earned belong to the consultant and may be used as preferred.
  • Weekend travel flexibility with company-paid companion flights or other city destination accommodations.
  • Pre-tax biweekly travel reimbursement per diem while at a client site, provided lodging is at the project site hotel.
  • Pre-tax biweekly allowance for parking and transportation to and from the employee’s home airport.

Professional Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management, Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of direct supervision and management experience (Manufacturing, Distribution or Engineering industries preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage conflict, build consensus, and facilitate problem-solving among cross-functional teams.
  • Strong observation, analytical, numerical reasoning, business acumen, and leadership skills.
  • Strong facilitation skills and ability to build relationships with clients at all levels.
  • Ability to balance delivery of results, problem solving and client management; handle multiple responsibilities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop credibility with all levels of the organization and external clients.
  • Ability to adapt to fast-paced, high-pressure, changing environments.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Ability to succeed in a team environment and receive daily feedback.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background checks, as well as drug screening.
