Position Description
Perform a variety of tasks involving heavy manual labor in road/heavy construction projects:
Shovel concrete, asphalt, or dirt in construction areas.
Assist in pouring concrete or laying asphalt.
Excavate and backfill trenches and ditches.
Keep the work site clean: pick up all tools and equipment and secure the work site(s) each day to eliminate potential hazards.
Carry out material handling and storage.
Load/unload trucks and transport materials.
- Ensure proper safety procedures and incident reporting are followed.
Laborer jobs require long periods of standing, walking, climbing, crouching, and bending. Laborer jobs also require periodically lifting up to 50 pounds.
