A well-established commercial roofing contractor based in Augusta, GA is seeking an experienced Roofing Estimator to join their preconstruction team. The company specializes in a wide range of commercial roofing systems and is known for delivering quality, long-term roofing solutions across the Southeast.
POSITION OVERVIEWThe Roofing Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive bids for commercial roofing projects. This role requires strong technical knowledge of roofing systems, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and field conditions.
ROOFING SYSTEMS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED- TPO roofing systems
- Modified bitumen
- Standing seam and architectural metal roofing
- Asphalt shingle systems (commercial applications)
- Built-up roofing (BUR) systems
- Review plans, specifications, and bid documents
- Perform material takeoffs and labor pricing
- Work closely with suppliers and subcontractors for accurate pricing
- Conduct site visits to assess existing roof conditions when required
- Support project handoff to operations teams after award
- Maintain accurate records of all bids and proposals
- 3+ years of experience in roofing estimation (commercial preferred)
- Strong knowledge of multiple commercial roofing systems
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and construction drawings
- Proficiency with estimating software and Excel
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Detail-oriented with strong time management skills
- Stable pipeline of commercial roofing projects
