Job Overview:

Job Summary
** Oversee and lead crews for gas distribution construction projects, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency from project inception to completion.

Job Responsibilities -Supervise, direct, and coordinate the activities of assigned construction crews, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and safety regulations.

Conduct daily safety briefings, toolbox talks, and job hazard analyses, promoting a strong safety culture and identifying/mitigating potential risks.

Interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders to accurately plan and execute project tasks.

Monitor project progress, track crew performance, and ensure efficient use of labor, equipment, and materials.

Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, clients, and crew members to resolve issues and maintain project schedules.

Train and mentor crew members, fostering their skill development and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Operate and maintain a variety of construction equipment safely and efficiently, including excavators, trenchers, and other heavy machinery.

Perform quality control inspections to ensure work meets established standards and specifications.

Complete daily reports, timecards, and other necessary documentation accurately and on time.

Respond to emergencies and address unexpected challenges on site, making sound decisions under pressure.

Ensure all necessary permits and regulatory requirements are met for each project.

Job Qualifications-High School Diploma or GED required;
Associate's degree or trade school certification in a related field preferred.

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in gas distribution construction, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.

Proven knowledge of gas distribution systems, construction techniques, and relevant industry codes and standards (e.g., DOT, OSHA).Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project specifications.

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL Class A or B preferred.

Ability to operate heavy construction equipment safely and proficiently.

OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.

Proficient in basic computer applications for reporting and communication.

Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.

Willingness to travel and work extended hours as required by project demands.
