Contract Management, Inc. (CMI) is looking for an experienced Senior Construction Estimator to lead our estimating efforts across commercial, industrial, federal, and government projects. This is an opportunity for someone who wants a seat at the table, enjoys building processes, and wants to play a key role in a growing construction business.

You'll be the driving force behind our estimating operation, helping shape bidding strategy, develop estimating workflows, support project execution, and contribute directly to company growth.

What You'll Do
  • Lead the full estimating lifecycle from opportunity review through proposal submission
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, quantity takeoffs, and bid analyses for commercial and industrial construction projects
  • Build and maintain estimating assemblies, cost databases, and standardized workflows
  • Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing
  • Analyze plans, specifications, and project requirements to identify risks and opportunities
  • Collaborate with project managers and operations teams during preconstruction
  • Support awarded projects through submittals, RFIs, and technical project coordination
  • Help scale and improve the company's overall estimating process
What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of construction estimating experience
  • Experience estimating commercial and/or industrial construction projects
  • Ability to independently develop estimates and manage multiple bids simultaneously
  • Strong understanding of construction means, methods, labor, materials, and subcontractor management
  • Experience building estimating workflows, assemblies, and cost models
  • Technology-minded approach with an interest in process improvement
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Sage 300 CRE Estimating (formerly Timberline Estimating)
  • Federal construction experience
  • Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Energy (DOE), VA, Homeland Security, or government project experience
  • Exposure to preconstruction, field engineering, project coordination, or self-perform construction operations

Compensation

$75,000 - $120,000+ Base Salary

Compensation is based on experience, technical expertise, and ability to make an immediate impact.

Additional project-based bonus opportunities may be available.
