The Graphic Artist supports and promotes the university’s brand through creative design and strategy, delivering high‑end conceptual work to advance marketing efforts.
Responsibilities- Print Specifications – prepare print specifications and camera‑ready art for all print projects.
- Projects – archive and document completed projects and perform additional duties as assigned.
- Promotional Materials – create consistent design, layout, artwork, and color across brochures, flyers, posters, logos, advertisements, t‑shirts, and other collateral.
- Brand Standards – understand brand guidelines, make design decisions, and identify opportunities for branding consistency.
- Marketing Standards – ensure all designs align with Augusta University brand and marketing standards.
- Develop – ensure all design requests are well developed and completed on time.
- Project Management System – use the project management system daily to document and track projects from beginning to end.
- Other – perform additional duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design from an accredited college or university.
- Two years of related experience.
- A portfolio that demonstrates design thinking across digital and print mediums.
- Work well with others, flexible in design strategies, and attentive to detail while seeing the big picture.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and strong understanding of photography, typography, layout, and color.
- Understanding of core design elements such as type, contrast, alignment, proximity, and layout.
Shift: Days Monday–Friday (may require work outside normal hours). Pay Band: B7. Salary Range: $42,200 – $43,888 annually.
