Visual Merchandising Intern: Showroom Styling & Trends

Surya is seeking a creative Visual Merchandising Intern with a passion for home decor and design. The ideal candidate is dialed in to current home décor and fashion trends and has a knack for styling interiors. The Visual Merchandising Intern will collaborate with a talented team focused on creating visual concepts that promote the Surya Inc. brands and products in showrooms, catalogs and online.

Responsibilities of the Visual Merchandising Intern:

• Assist with visual merchandising of showrooms to deliver optimal presentation of products and standout guest experience
• Support showroom setup process, including assisting with cross-department project management
• Coordinate, track and manage samples and product shipments for trade shows and photo shoots
• Assist with product selection, ordering, and styling for photo shoots
• Provide administrative support related to trade shows, events, and special projects
• Build knowledge of visual merchandising strategies, brand standards and current design trends

Requirements for the Visual Merchandising Intern:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Visual Merchandising, Fashion Merchandising, Interior Design or related field.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, with proficiency in Excel.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Creative Cloud, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Bridge, Acrobat).
• Excellent time management skills with ability to adapt quickly to changing business environment.
• Able to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
• Keen attention to detail with a commitment to quality and excellence.
