Job Description

Position

Description:

The ITM Teller is responsible for increasing Queensborough Customer Loyalty by ensuring consistent, positive, and valuable customer Interactive Teller Machine experience. Under general supervision, but conforming to established policies and procedures, employees operate an Interactive Teller Machine and provide prompt, efficient, accurate transactions and STAR quality customer service. Employees are responsible for balancing each day's transactions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to Spanish speaking customers
  • Represents the Bank in a courteous and professional manner
  • Accepts ITM deposits and cashes checks to customers' accounts
  • Accepts ITM loan payments and safe deposit box rent payments
  • Cross-sells the Bank's services and products
  • Answers customer inquiries and gives balances
  • Balances transactions at end of day
  • Adheres to the policies and procedures of the Bank and complies with all banking laws, rules and regulations
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Research and verify account information
  • Answer questions and solve problems for customers

Qualification Requirements:

  • Fluent in Spanish
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Available M-F 8am- 6pm and Saturday 8am-1pm
  • A minimum of six months cash handling & customer service experience
  • Previous Teller experience strongly preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to operate on-line teller terminal required
  • Successful completion of Teller training and other required compliance training
  • Professional demeanor and presentation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite preferred
