What You’ll Do

In this role, you will provide comprehensive dental hygiene services while maintaining the highest standards of safety, accuracy, and patient care.

Your responsibilities will include:

Perform periodontal charting and assist with periodontal treatment planning.

Obtain accurate dental radiographs while following ALARA principles.

Apply fluoride varnish, sealants, topical medications, and other preventive treatments as appropriate.

Take impressions for study casts, athletic mouth guards, custom trays, and other needs as required.

Provide individualized oral hygiene education and reinforce healthy dental habits with every patient.

Accurately document patient findings, treatment, outcomes, medical histories, medications, and vital signs in the electronic health record.

Assist the Dentist with charting, treatment recommendations, and prevention and management of dental emergencies.

Prepare, clean, disinfect, sterilize, and restock operatories and equipment according to established OSHA, CDC, and ADA standards.

Review the daily chair schedule with the Dentist and plan clinical activities accordingly.

Maintain current knowledge and skills through required continuing education and professional development.

Help support and oversee dental hygiene students.

Provide medical interpretation when appropriate and within your skill set.

Perform other duties within the Dental Program as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate:

Is passionate about providing excellent, compassionate patient care.

Demonstrates genuine care, respect, and professionalism when interacting with patients and coworkers.

Works well independently while also thriving as part of a team.

Has strong attention to detail and a commitment to continuous learning.

Can effectively multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment.
