Job Summary

Job  Position # . Augusta University's Medical College of Georgia, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is seeking a faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor, as an experienced OB‑GYN. The selected candidate will be responsible for testing, diagnosing, treating, and monitoring diseases and issues related to women's health, providing medical counsel and support to women during pregnancy and childbirth, and providing inpatient/outpatient obstetrics and gynecology services throughout assigned clinic locations, including infant delivery and related surgical procedures.

This position does not meet the requirements to be on a tenure track.

Responsibilities

Clinical Responsibilities - 90%

  • Performing a wide range of tests, including pap smears, pelvic, and breast exams.
  • Diagnosing and prescribing treatments for disorders and diseases.
  • Conducting routine check‑ups on patients.
  • Monitoring and treating expectant mothers during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum.
  • Recording medical histories.
  • Educating patients about disease prevention and detection, and reproductive health.
  • Collaborating with other medical and non‑medical personnel.
  • Keeping up to date with current practices and innovations.
  • Provide clinical coverage and resident supervision in Labor and Delivery.
  • Provision of patient care in ambulatory setting and in surgical theater.

Resident Education - 10%:
Education of residents/students and supervision is included when in ambulatory setting and surgery.

Shift/Salary/Benefits

This position is fiscal year based and works year‑round. The intended work commitment or full‑time equivalent (FTE) for this position is 1.0 and considered full‑time.

Assistant Professor: Salary and compensation is commensurate with education, experience, and achievements. The salary is subject to availability of funds.

Associate Professor: Salary and compensation is commensurate with education, experience, and achievements. The salary is subject to availability of funds.

Professor: Salary and compensation is commensurate with education, experience, and achievements. The salary is subject to availability of funds.
