Position: Open Rank- Clinical Faculty in Obstetrics and Gynecology- MFM

Job Summary

Division of Maternal‑Fetal Medicine, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University is seeking a faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor. The role involves a mix of clinical care, teaching, and research within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. The successful candidate will contribute to the education of medical students, residents, and fellows while providing high‑level care for medically and surgically complex pregnancies.

This position is not on a tenure track.

Responsibilities
  • Patient Care – 90%:
    Provide inpatient and outpatient consultative care for high‑risk pregnancies.
  • Perform and interpret advanced fetal imaging and diagnostic procedures (ultrasound, amniocentesis, CVS).
  • Participate in labor and delivery coverage and multidisciplinary care planning.
  • Student/Resident/Fellow Education – 5%:
    Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Scholarly Activities – 5%:
    Participate in or lead research and scholarly activities aligned with departmental goals.
Required Qualifications
  • MD, DO, or equivalent from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of an ACGME‑accredited residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology and fellowship in Maternal‑Fetal Medicine.
  • Board‑certified or board‑eligible in Maternal‑Fetal Medicine.
  • Eligible for medical licensure in Georgia.
  • Faculty employment qualifications for all USG institutions: consistent with SACSCOC requirements; evidence of teaching, scholarly activity, and other duties; successful experience (waived for early career); desirable personal qualities assessed during interview and via recommendations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with clinical or translational research.
  • Track record of scholarly publications.
  • Interest or experience in program development, global health, or health initiatives.
  • Demonstrated interest in academic medicine, education, and research.
Shift / Salary / Benefits

Fiscal year based, year‑round full‑time (FTE 1.0). Salary commensurate with education, experience, and achievements; subject to fund availability.
