The Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University is seeking a full-time faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor. We invite applications from candidates in clinician track with expertise in Sleep Medicine, Interventional Pulmonology, Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, and other subspecialty areas within Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, as well as physician-scientists and basic scientists with research interests relevant to pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine.

The Division is home to an accredited Adult Cystic Fibrosis Center and serves as a national referral center for Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangiectasia (HHT) and Pulmonary Vascular Diseases. Faculty collaborate extensively with investigators in the Vascular Biology Center, Georgia Cancer Center, and other multidisciplinary research programs across Augusta University.

The Medical College of Georgia, one of the nation's largest public medical schools, sponsors ACGME-accredited fellowship programs in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, Sleep Medicine, and Interventional Pulmonology and is strongly committed to excellence in clinical care, education, and research.

We are actively recruiting clinical faculty, physician-scientists, and basic science investigators. Clinical responsibilities, protected research time, or academic activities will be tailored to each faculty member's expertise and career goals. This position does not meet the requirements to be on a tenure track.

• Clinical - 90%
  Inpatient MICU wards, continuity clinic, night and weekend call, Pulmonary consult service, attending for fellow clinic
• Teaching - 10%
  Didactic presentations, scholarly presentations, teaching residents/students/fellows, engaging in scholarly activities including but not limited to research studies, quality improvement projects, or case studies

MD, DO or equivalent from an appropriately accredited institution. 3 years pulmonary and critical care fellowship. ABIM boarded or eligible in pulmonary and critical care medicine.

Assistant Professor
- Early level career as a faculty member with appropriate post graduate training.

Associate Professor
- Mid level career faculty member with at least five years at rank of Assistant Professor or comparable training, background, and experience.

Professor
- Senior level career faculty member with at least five years at the rank of Associate Professor or comparable training, background, and experience.

Required faculty employment qualifications for all USG institutions and all academic ranks within these institutions shall be:

• Consistent with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC)'s requirements for institutional accreditation;
• Evidence of ability as a teacher;
• Evidence of activity as a scholar and ability in all other duties assigned;
• Successful experience (which will necessarily be waived for those just entering the academic profession who meet all other requirements); and,
• Desirable personal qualities judged on the basis of personal interview, complete biographical data, and recommendations.

This position is fiscal year based and works year-round.

The intended work commitment or full-time equivalent (FTE) for this position is 1.0 and considered full-time.
