Job Summary

Position:
Faculty Member in General Psychiatry at the Department of Psychiatry and Health Behavior, Medical College of Georgia, Augusta University. Rank:
Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor. Must have completed a residency in Psychiatry and be board‑certified or board‑eligible in General Psychiatry. Candidate must be eligible for licensure in Georgia. Provider will deliver attending physician services and supervise residents/fellows at outpatient clinics.

• Provide general psychiatry services through the outpatient clinic in the Department of Psychiatry and Health Behavior through Wellstar MCG Health with or without learners present.
• Attend 80% of departmental meetings and grand rounds.
• Maintain licensure.

• MD, DO, MBBS, or foreign equivalent.
• Assistant Professor: early‑level career faculty member with appropriate postgraduate training.
• Associate Professor: mid‑level career faculty member with at least five years at rank of Assistant Professor or comparable training, background, and experience.
• Professor: senior‑level career faculty member with at least five years at rank of Associate Professor or comparable training, background, and experience.
• Consistent with SACSCOC requirements for institutional accreditation; evidence of ability as a teacher; evidence of activity as a scholar and ability in all other duties; successful experience (waived for those newly entering academia who meet all other requirements); desirable personal qualities judged by interview, biographical data, and recommendations.

• Fellowship in Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT).

This position is fiscal‑year based and works year‑round. Intended work commitment or full‑time equivalent (FTE) is 1.0. Salary and compensation are commensurate with education, experience, and achievements and are subject to availability of funds.
