Job Summary
Position , Augusta University, full‑time, rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor, Physician Assistant educator and principal faculty member in the PA Department/Master of PA Program. Responsibilities include mentoring, advising, small‑group leadership, teaching courses, delivering lectures, supporting students across didactic and clinical phases, and developing course content.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases
- Teaching, conducting student small groups, precepting, advising, mentoring, supervising research practicum.
- Participate in service to the department, college, institution, and community.
- Submit publications for peer‑reviewed journals, present at professional seminars/conferences, search and apply for extramural/intramural grants.
- Participate in clinical practice concurrent with student instruction.
Masters degree in Physician Assistant with ≥3 years as a practicing PA‑C; OR Bachelor’s degree in PA with ≥10 years as a practicing PA‑C and commitment to obtain a Master’s degree within 3 years.
- Assistant Professor – early‑career faculty, 0‑4 years experience in related field.
- Associate Professor – mid‑career faculty, at least five years at rank of Assistant Professor or equivalent.
- Professor – senior‑level faculty, 10+ years in related field, including five years as Associate Professor; must have a terminal degree per BOR policy.
Additional faculty employment qualifications: compliance with SACSCOC requirements, evidence of teaching and scholarly activity, and desirable personal qualities assessed in interview.
Shift / Salary / BenefitsYear‑round, full‑time equivalent 1.0. Salary commensurate with experience and achievements, subject to availability of funds.
