Spanish Teacher – Richland Elementary, Kellogg Elementary & Middle School
1.0 FTE
Job Summary Under the direction of the principal, the teacher will work with students in grades 5-2 and middle school to achieve excellence in the area of Spanish.
Qualifications Required
Minimum of BS/BA degree in EducationPossess or be eligible for a valid Michigan teaching certificate with an endorsement as an elementary teacher in the State of Michigan with an endorsement for SpanishAble to assess and document student progressProfessional in personal conduct and actionsExcellent communication skillsMeets federal Every Student Succeeds Act requirementsDesired Characteristics
Experience in working with early elementary and middle school students.Experience using technology as an instructional tool in the classroomExperience in working within a Professional Learning CommunitySuccessful experience integrating literacy and engagement strategies to support student learningKnowledge of Google and Workspace applicationsSuccessful teaching/coaching of students preferredDuties
Provide instruction to elementary studentsProvide and maintain an orderly classroom environmentMonitor and document student progress through Skyward student management programWork independently and cooperatively using a variety of instructional strategiesAbility to plan and organize; excellent work habitsWilling to attend conferences and participate in professional developmentPerform other duties as assigned by administrationSTATEMENT OF NON-DISCRIMINATION
