Position Overview
Special Education Teacher in Inclusion Classroom at Legacy Knoll Middle School (West Jackson Middle School).
Openings currently as of May 18, 2026. Position available July 23, 2026.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in Special Education or related field.
- Eligible to hold a GaPSC issued teaching certificate in Special Education, General Curriculum.
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Special Education education or related field.
- GaPSC issued teaching certificate in Special Education, General Curriculum.
- GaPSC issued teaching certificate in middle grades ELA.
- Experience working in a public school district as a Special Education Teacher.
- Standard in-person classroom setting.
- Standing, speaking, interacting with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Occasional lifting of materials or equipment.
- Use of classroom technology including projectors, computers, and learning management systems.
- Regular hours during the school day with occasional evenings or weekends for parent‑teacher conferences, school events, or professional development.
- Adaptability to varying student needs and class sizes.
- Additional duties such as sponsoring extracurricular activities or supervising student clubs.
- 190 work calendar.
- Annual salary based on degree level and prior experience in a similar role.
Principals will prioritize candidates who meet both the preferred and minimum qualifications and will select individuals for interviews as positions become available.
