Summary and relationship to the curriculum: All classified positions will strengthen the delivery of instruction to support the District’s mission.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Conduct whole group, small group, or individual classroom activities in accordance with specific program requirements.
- Help with all aspects of the daily routine.
- Assist with supervision of students.
- Follow direction of the supervising teacher.
- Assist with student assessment, grading work, tests, and collecting data on student progress.
- Assist with routine record keeping.
- Assist with the preparation of materials for instruction.
- Assist with classroom housekeeping.
- Assist students with daily activities and school functions.
- Assist in ordering and inventorying classroom equipment and materials.
- Assist with school-wide supervision.
- Participate in Professional Learning.
- Perform other duties as requested.
- Education and/or
Experience:
Education level must be in accordance with federal, state, and local guidelines. - Certificate or License: Certification as required by the Professional Standards Commission.

Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend job-specific technical information, simple instructions, short correspondence, memos, and position-specific manuals; ability to write correspondence and reports; ability to articulate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations. - Mathematical
Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure; conduct position-related data analysis; compute rate, ratio, and percent; and interpret bar graphs. - Reasoning Ability: Facilitate problem-solving processes; synthesize workable options from given facts; assist in developing solutions.
- Technical Ability: Knowledge of Microsoft Office and other job-specified technologies.

Professional Requirements: Must serve as a role model to students. Appropriate dress and grooming consistent with established standards.
Physical Demands: The employee is regularly required to walk, stand, and lift. Occasionally, the employee must crouch or kneel. The employee must be able to exert or lift up to 50‑75 pounds.
Work Environment: Frequent travel involves exposure to traffic and outdoor elements. The employee is often working in outdoor weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
