Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor – tenure‑track
The Immunology Center of Georgia at Augusta University seeks a faculty member who is an established immunologist. Research interests may span cancer immunology, autoimmune disease, vascular immunology, leukemia/lymphoma immunology, and immunology research areas such as T cell biology, checkpoint inhibitors, engineered immune cells, antigen presentation, DC biology, ADCC, Fc receptors, complement, and monocyte/macrophage biology. The position is on a tenure track.
Responsibilities- Funding – 75% of time:
Expected to maintain continuous NIH funding. - Teaching – 10% of time:
Expected to train graduate students, postdocs, and possibly teach an advanced immunology course. - Service – 10% of time:
Participate on IMMCG and AU committees. - Other – 5% of time:
Other duties as assigned by the Director.
Educational Credentials
:
Ph.D., MD, or Ph.D./MD equivalent from an accredited institution.
Faculty Rank Requirements
:
- Assistant Professor – early‑level faculty with appropriate postgraduate training.
- Associate Professor – mid‑level faculty with at least five years at the rank of Assistant Professor or comparable training.
- Professor – senior‑level faculty with at least five years at the rank of Associate Professor or comparable training.
All candidates must satisfy the Faculty Employment Requirements for USG institutions:
- Consistent with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) accreditation requirements.
- Evidence of teaching ability.
- Evidence of scholarly activity and competence in all other assigned duties.
- Successful experience (waived for those newly entering academia who meet all other requirements).
- Desirable personal qualities evaluated through interview, biographical data, and recommendations.
- Fiscal‑year based, year‑round work commitment: 1.0 FTE (full time).
- Salary and compensation commensurate with education, experience, and achievements; subject to availability of funds for each rank.
