Position: Service Learning and International Coordinator Impact 360 Institute

Scope of Position

Lead the planning and execution of local service-learning opportunities and International Immersion by fostering a rigorous, experiential learning environment that promotes Christian spiritual formation as part of the Fellows mission to inspire and equip the next generation of disciples to know Jesus more deeply, be transformed in their character, and live with Spirit-empowered influence.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead Impact 360 Fellows in worldview and spiritual formation through service and international programming that specifically fulfills the curriculum objectives of love for all people and nations and cultivating culture and making disciples.
  • Develop and lead programming related to local service-learning opportunities and International Immersion, including budget preparation and administration, and by building partnerships with like-minded local and international partners.
  • Train, orient, and supervise Fellows staff members to serve as leaders of International Immersion student teams.
  • Teach an intercultural studies course.
  • Handle all project logistics for service-learning opportunities including training Service Team coaches to guide teams through service-learning projects.
  • Coordinate logistics for International Immersion, including details related to travel, insurance, passports/visas, health recommendations, and risk management.
  • Serve on the student discipleship team as a discipleship group leader and discipler.
  • Mentor and coach 2-3 Fellows students throughout the year in support of the Fellows discipleship culture and focus. This includes participating in discipleship-centered programming (Bible Study, etc.).
  • Travel internationally for planning purposes (1-2 weeks per year) and to support International Immersion programming (up to 4 weeks).
  • Participate in peak experiences alongside Fellows, helping them to process, understand, and apply the learning.
  • Requirements
  • An evangelical believer practicing an active faith in a New Testament-based denomination and is in unreserved agreement with the Institute’s Statement of Faith and Biblical Conduct and Lifestyle Standards. Must support the vision, values, philosophy and community standards of Impact 360 Institute.
  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) and three years of experience required in a field related to intercultural studies, missions, organizational leadership, biblical studies, Christian studies or related area.
  • Passion for and experience in international travel, missions, and cross-cultural relations. Ability and willingness to travel out of the country for up to two vision and planning trips of 12-21 days and up to 4 weeks – International Immersion with Fellows students and staff.
  • Demonstrated Christ-centered servant leadership skills, outstanding interpersonal communication skills, and ability to work effectively as both a team player and a team builder. Ability to analyze situations accurately, quickly make rational judgments, and take effective action.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks moving from one project to another, while leading all projects to a successful completion while demonstrating patience, approachability, dependability, and creativity.
  • Willing to travel for Fellow’s events as needed.
  • Dynamic classroom presentation leading students to think critically and relate to the material and the instructor.
  • Must have fewer than 3 driving violations in the last 5years; ability to drive a 15-passenger van.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
  • Ability to navigate the campus environment, including safely crossing public thoroughfares (such as designated crosswalks), to arrive at scheduled destinations (Point A to Point

    B) in a timely and reliable manner as required by the role’s schedule.
