Position: Open Rank Faculty, Curriculum Director (Savannah Campus)

Job Summary

Position:
Academic Curriculum Director – Savannah Campus. Rank:
Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor (not tenure‑track). Role: full‑time faculty member responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving the medical school curriculum for both undergraduate and graduate programs, ensuring alignment with accreditation standards and educational best practices.

Responsibilities
  • Curriculum Development & Coordination
    • Collaborate with faculty and academic leadership to design, implement, and revise the medical school curriculum.
    • Ensure accreditation standards and mission alignment.
    • Coordinate curriculum mapping and evaluate effectiveness through surveys, data analysis, and student feedback.
    • Provide data‑driven recommendations for improvements.
  • Faculty Support & Development
    • Support faculty in curriculum delivery and provide guidance on educational strategies.
    • Facilitate faculty development workshops on curriculum design, assessment, and technology‑enhanced teaching.
    • Serve as a resource for curriculum management systems and digital tools.
  • Accreditation & Compliance
    • Prepare reports and documents for accreditation reviews.
    • Stay current with accreditation standards, regulatory requirements, and emerging trends.
    • Lead initiatives to improve curriculum quality, efficiency, and student engagement.
    • Foster a culture of innovation in teaching through new technologies.
    • Contribute to long‑term strategic goals for the medical education program.
  • Graduate Medical Education (GME) Curriculum Development & Integration
    • Collaborate with GME leadership to design, implement, and improve residency and fellowship curriculum.
    • Integrate GME training requirements and competencies into the overall curriculum.
    • Coordinate with residency program directors to update curricula and address resident progress.
    • Support assessment tool development for GME learners.
    • Analyze GME learner feedback for continuous improvement.
  • GME Compliance & Accreditation Support
    • Assist with documentation for ACGME reviews and maintain accreditation status.
    • Implement continuous quality improvement initiatives.
    • Provide professional development workshops on competency‑based education and assessment.
    • Oversee scheduling and coordination of GME rotations and conferences.
    • Collaborate with wellness committees to support resident well‑being.
Required Qualifications
  • Master's degree in education, health professions education, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience with curriculum mapping, accreditation processes, and assessment strategies.
  • Minimum 3 years of documented educational or administrative experience.
  • Familiarity with emerging trends in medical education (simulation, e‑learning, competency‑based education).
  • Faculty rank requirements
    :
    • Assistant Professor – early‑career faculty with appropriate postgraduate training.
    • Associate Professor – mid‑career faculty with at least five years as Assistant Professor or comparable.
    • Professor – senior‑career faculty with at least five years as Associate Professor or comparable.
  • Compliance with institutional accreditation requirements: evidence of teaching ability, scholarly activity, and other faculty duties.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree.
Shift / Salary / Benefits
  • Fiscal‑year based, year‑round work schedule.
  • Full‑time position (1.0 FTE).
  • Salary commensurate with experience, subject to available funds for all ranks.
