Job SummaryThe Radiology and Imaging department is actively seeking innovative, collaborative colleagues who routinely evaluate their pedagogy and practices to promote belonging, accessibility, and full student learning. The candidate should be an Accredited Council Graduate Medical Education training fellow. This position will train under Radiology and Imaging faculty in the area of Breast Imaging while working clinically as a faculty member in the Radiology and Imaging Department of Augusta University Medical Center.
The fellowship is for one academic year only. The faculty instructor in the Radiation Diagnostic program will provide students with the skills necessary to administer radiation treatments safely and accurately in a clinical setting. The role includes assignment of program chair hours for the Radiation Therapy program; the Chair is responsible for overall program management. Duties include classroom instruction, assessment, curriculum development, student advising, professional inquiry, committee work, and engagement with instructional technology, with teaching assignments across various delivery methods.

- MD Degree
- Completed Diagnostic Radiology Residency
- Foreign-trained applicants must be A board certified or eligible
- Consistent with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) requirements for institutional accreditation
- Evidence of ability as a teacher
- Evidence of activity as a scholar and ability in all other duties assigned
- Successful experience (waived for those just entering the academic profession who meet all other requirements)
- Desirable personal qualities judged on the basis of personal interview, biographical data, and recommendations
Full‑time, fiscal‑year based role with a full‑time equivalent (FTE) of 1.0. Salary is commensurate with education, experience, and achievements and is subject to availability of funds.
