OverviewThe College of Science and Mathematics (CSM), Department of Biological Sciences at Augusta University invites applications for a faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor. The successful candidate will develop an independent research program in molecular physiology, organismal biology, or ecology, and will teach undergraduate and graduate courses, mentor students, and serve on departmental and campus committees.
Responsibilities- Research (45%):
Conduct scholarly research involving undergraduate and graduate students, and secure external funding. - Teaching (45%):
Deliver and coordinate biology courses as assigned. - Service (10%):
Perform service on committees and fulfill other duties as assigned.
Ph.D. in biological sciences or related field with at least 1 year postdoctoral experience and a strong publication record. Commitment to teaching or mentorship.

Mid‑level faculty with at least five years at the rank of Assistant Professor or equivalent. - Professor
:
Senior level faculty with at least five years at the rank of Associate Professor or equivalent; must have a terminal degree per Board of Regents policy.
Additional employment qualifications for all faculty include consistency with SACSCOC accreditation requirements, evidence of teaching and scholarly activity, successful experience, and desirable personal qualities.

This academic year position typically works August through May, full-time (1.0 FTE). Salary and compensation are commensurate with education, experience, and achievements and subject to availability of funds.
