MTSS School Based FacilitatorMulti-tiered System of Supports (MTSS) Facilitator role within Richmond County Schools' Student Services department. Responsible for coordinating a systematic school‑wide approach to MTSS, enhancing implementation of the MTSS framework, and driving data‑based decision‑making to maximize learning outcomes for all students.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Education (teaching), behavioral sciences, or related field.
Certification or Licensure: Georgia teaching (T) certificate in any field; or service (S) certificate in school counseling, social work, or school psychology.
Knowledge &
Skills:
Depth of knowledge of the MTSS model and experience implementing interventions and student progress monitoring. Knowledge of current research on academic, behavioral, and social‑emotional learning (SEL) interventions. Effective coaching skills, data analysis and data‑driven decision‑making. Proficient in intervention management and Microsoft Office programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Strong interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy.
Work Experience: Minimum five years working in a public and/or private school setting. Experience with analyzing and disaggregating data for instructional decisions, developing and monitoring interventions, delivering professional learning for adults, and school‑based coaching.
Primary DutyThe MTSS facilitator coordinates the development of a systematic school‑wide MTSS approach and collaborates with school administrators, staff, the District MTSS coordinator, and other district personnel to enhance and encourage effective implementation of the MTSS framework. Responsibilities include facilitating data‑driven problem‑solving processes to maximize learning outcomes for all students.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities General Duties- Lead and support school‑level MTSS teams to build capacity and fully implement the MTSS framework.
- Coordinate implementation and monitoring of the School Action Plan for Georgia’s Tiered System of Supports, including fidelity of implementation and school outcomes.
- Assist schools in developing strategic plans for intervention and growth for all students.
- Ensure Georgia’s Tiered System of Supports improvement strategies are aligned with and embedded in the School Improvement Plan (SIP).
- Support the School Team in removing barriers that impede implementation of the MTSS framework.
- Participate in state, regional, and district trainings and/or meetings to support effective implementation of Georgia’s Tiered System of Supports.
- Maintain highest level of confidentiality regarding school and student information, progress, and records.
- Contact School Team members and District Coordinator regularly.
- Lead and facilitate School MTSS team meetings using best teaming practices to analyze data, identify successes and challenges, and develop action plans.
- Collaborate with instructional support to facilitate grade‑level and/or content‑level team meetings, advising on data use to identify students for tiered intervention and to design intervention plans aligned to student needs.
- Participate in student support team meetings to advise on data for identified students and provide supporting documentation.
- Serve as liaison between administrators, teachers, counselors, school social workers, school psychologists, and other stakeholders to develop appropriate positive behavior interventions and supports through MTSS.
- Maintain knowledge of evidence‑based interventions and share resources to improve student achievement and school climate.
- Assist teachers and staff in interpreting screening, diagnostic, and progress monitoring data for the purpose of identifying struggling learners, designing instruction/intervention, and evaluating students’ responses.
