Position: Teacher NF-03

Summary

This position is with CYS Child Development Center Programs at Fort Benning, GA. It is a regular full‑time seasonal role, guaranteeing 40 hours per week. Employees will be on Leave Without Pay for up to 13 weeks per year during summer months and school breaks. CYS regular and FLEX employees who work at least 15 hours receive a 100% childcare discount for their first child and at least 25% for each additional child.

Duties
  • Plans and develops courses of instruction and lesson plans, considering age, developmental level, and special needs of students, in accordance with established curriculum.
  • Selects material to meet the interests, abilities, and developmental needs of children.
  • Teaches and evaluates the effectiveness of material, presentation, and progress of students.
  • Provides training to in‑house staff, maintains all associated records and files, and promotes involvement and participation of interested parties.
Education

At minimum, a high school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) is required. Additional educational requirements may be listed elsewhere. Education must be directly related to the position; general psychology or sociology courses do not qualify. Transcripts must reflect the name of the school and applicant; all documents must be in English or have a translated copy. Foreign education requires evaluation by a private organization or a demonstration of equivalence to a U.S. accredited program.
