Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

Starting Salary: $70,000 – $95,000 per year based on experience plus $5,000 Sign-on Bonus.
Responsibilities- Deliver comprehensive training and continuous guidance to teachers and staff in designing Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness and quality of academic instruction and behavioral support services to ensure exceptional outcomes.
- Model, reinforce, and enhance instructional best practices to promote student growth aligned with Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals.
- Assess professional development needs of the educational team; research, create, and deliver targeted training programs.
- Engage proactively in staff development initiatives, including conferences and specialized professional training sessions.
- Train, certify, and coach staff in effective crisis prevention and management strategies.
- Assist in recruitment activities, hiring processes, orientation, and ongoing professional training for behavior specialists and related staff.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend evidence-based curricula, teaching methodologies, and instructional resources aligned with educational standards.
- Develop, implement, and supervise systems designed to address and support the unique academic and behavioral needs of individual students and classrooms.
- Participate actively in required meetings, including school team meetings, interdisciplinary collaborations, and all‑staff professional gatherings.
- Conduct systematic and ongoing quality assurance assessments at student, classroom, staff, and site levels, offering detailed feedback and strategic recommendations.
- Ensure consistent adherence to Department of Education guidelines and Chance Light internal standards and policies for educational excellence and evidence-based behavioral interventions.
- Perform additional duties or special projects as assigned to support organizational goals and student success.
- Master’s degree or higher in applied behavior analysis, behavioral therapy, or a closely related field.
- Licensed or in the process of obtaining a Board‑Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) credential.
- Special education instruction credential (preferred).
- Ability to obtain and maintain certification in company‑approved crisis management training.
- Well‑versed in ABA, including PBIS, data‑based decision making, FBA, and BIP development.
- Prior experience with special education services and compliance, effective teaching strategies, classroom management, and IEPs.
- Highly skilled in working with children with severe learning, emotional behavioral disorders, autism spectrum disorders, or other related disabilities.
- Experience and proficiency in crisis management systems and intervention procedures.
- Proven success in developing and implementing behavior intervention plans for students with diverse needs.
- Strong communication skills with ability to motivate students and conduct critical conversations.
- Ability to think and act quickly and calmly in an emergency and make independent decisions.
- Advanced oral and written communication, organization, conflict resolution, multitasking, problem solving, and decision‑making ability.
- Knowledge of relevant technology, including computers, Microsoft Office Suite, database entry, and basic office equipment.
