Summerville Campus | Full Time | B7 Pay Band | Salary: $43,888/annually | Shift: Evening and weekend work required.
Admissions Counselors represent Augusta University at programs and events on and off campus to recruit new undergraduate students. They coordinate recruitment-based projects and serve as territory managers for an assigned geographic territory to enroll a set target of new students each semester. Excellence in customer service is expected for all interactions with prospective students, families, and community agencies. This position requires extensive travel within an assigned territory and evening or weekend work.
Responsibilities- Territory Management:
Develop and execute recruitment strategies to meet first‑year student admission funnel and enrollment goals for an assigned geographic territory. Analyze historical target population data to develop initiatives and assess effectiveness. - Recruitment Events:
Represent AU at on‑ and off‑campus events and programs, facilitating campus information sessions and tours. - Communication:
Communicate with prospective students, families, and community agencies through in‑person and virtual appointments, telephone calls, and emails. Participate in outreach to drive student action and meet enrollment goals. - Special Populations:
Assist with recruitment of dual enrollment, international, transfer, and non‑degree students as needed. - Other Duties:
Perform related duties/tasks, including participation in institutional, divisional, and departmental committees and work groups.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Experience working in higher education.
- Knowledge of Microsoft applications.
- Experience with Slate CRM.
- Experience with student recruitment, admissions counseling, or related student‑facing work.
- Knowledge:
Accounting, Excel, data analysis; proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases. - Skills:
Strong memory for detail; strong customer service, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication. - Abilities:
Maintain confidentiality, adhere to FERPA; reliable transportation; ability to cover travel cost; flexibility to travel and work varied schedule; ability to work with diverse people; independent problem solving and project implementation.
Shift: Evening and weekend work required. Pay Band: B7. Salary: $43,888 annually, commensurate with qualifications. Recruitment Period:

All candidates must successfully pass a Background Check. Where applicable, a credit check, motor vehicle reports, and a purchase card usage review may be required. Driver’s License StatementThe selected candidate must have a valid driver's license and will be required to provide a driver's history report.
