Special Education Teacher - Villa Rica, GA - Elementary Caseload

Job Description

Minimum 1+ years special education experience required.

Location: Douglasville, GA

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
• Adapt general education lessons and materials to meet the unique needs of each student.
• Assess students' progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure student success.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of students' progress and behavior.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's preferred).
• Valid Georgia teaching certification in Special Education.
• Experience working with students with a variety of disabilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with behavioral interventions and positive behavior supports.
• Knowledge of assistive technology and specialized instructional techniques.
• Previous experience in a school setting, particularly in an inclusive classroom environment.
