Job SummaryReporting to the Director of Mentorship and Student Engagement, the Coordinator will assist in the development and implementation of programs and services that promote student access, achievement, and a sense of belonging. The role focuses on the facilitation of intercultural campus‑wide programming and cultural student leadership development workshops and trainings, collaborating with student organizations to build engagement and success.
Responsibilities- Serve as a resource for underrepresented students, coordinating the Multicultural Mentorship Program and related initiatives.
- Develop, implement, and assess campus‑wide programming initiatives including cultural awareness, cross‑cultural learning, celebrations, and heritage months.
- Advise multiple student organizations and assist with planning, production, and assessment of programs; negotiate contractual offers with agents.
- Assist in creating, advising, and coordinating the Peer Education program; conduct social justice and student leadership development workshops for underrepresented populations.
- Supervise Mentorship and Student Engagement graduate assistant(s).
- Respond to student crises related to access, success, and belonging, coordinating with the Director of MSE and AVP for Student Affairs as appropriate.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and 2 years of experience in a related field.
- Master’s degree in higher education administration, college student personnel, or a related field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other relevant software/databases.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Detail‑oriented with ability to multitask and prioritize.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Shift: Days, Monday – Friday; may require work outside standard hours.
- Pay Grade: B8;
Salary: $45,400 annually (commensurate with qualifications). - Recruitment Period:
Until Filled. - Full‑time employees are eligible for benefits including health, dental, life insurance, retirement plans, vacation, sick leave, and paid holidays. Tuition Assistance Program may be available after six months of employment.
- Must pass a background check and, where applicable, a credit check and motor‑vehicle report.
- Faculty hires must provide proof of academic degrees and credential evaluations if trained abroad.
