Summary

Under the supervision of the principal, or other supervisor, the teacher assistant assists the teacher with the conduct of a class. The assistance takes a variety of forms, such as preparing class materials, correcting and recording assignments, and a wide variety of other services.

Classified position is announced to all applicants. This position will remain open until filled. 3.9 hours per day/174 days per year. Salary Grade 3 $ 17.24 per hour (2026-27 Support Salary Table). Promotions result in a minimum 5% increase for a promotion.

THIS POSITION IS FOR THE UPCOMING 2026-27 SCHOOL YEAR. THIS IS AN ELD TUTOR POSITION. Applicants that speak second languages, specifically Spanish, will be highly considered.

Under the supervision of the principal, or other supervisor, the teacher assistant assists the teacher with the conduct of a class. The assistance takes a variety of forms, such as preparing class materials, correcting and recording assignments, and a wide variety of other services.

• High school graduation or equivalent education and/or experience.
• The equivalent of two years (48 semester hours) full-time education at an institution of higher education; or an associate's degree; or the ability to pass a Utah State Office of Education approved Para-Professional Test.
• Interpersonal and communication skills.
• Secretarial/clerical skills, including ability to operate a computer may be required.
