Residence Life Coordinator

Job Summary

The Residence Life Coordinator (RLC) plays a key leadership role in Augusta University’s Housing and Residence Life program, fostering a safe, inclusive community that supports the intellectual, social, and cultural development of students and staff.

• Student Development Educator: Communicate student rights and responsibilities; facilitate conflict resolution; serve as conduct hearing officer; coordinate community service activities; mentor student staff; support Living Learning Communities; collaborate with faculty on academic initiatives.
• Supervision/Managerial: Lead resident assistants and front‑desk staff; recruit, select, and evaluate staff; disseminate policies and procedures; maintain visibility through office hours and floor visits; provide training and discipline as needed.
• Administrative:>
  Manage programming, supplies, and training budget; coordinate building maintenance and capital improvement requests; oversee safety training; handle documentation, budgeting, and reporting; process work orders and maintain records.
• Professionalism: Serve as role model; stay informed on professional standards; represent Housing and Residence Life at conferences; conduct workshops and seminars; respond to student and staff concerns.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and two years of related experience.

Master’s degree in College Student Personnel, Higher Education Administration, Counseling, or a directly related field; experience with community living and leadership development.

• Knowledge: Microsoft Office and related software; event planning; supervisory practices; student management systems; student conduct, crisis response, and behavioral intervention.
• Skills: Effective written and oral communication, creative and interactive presentation, detail‑oriented organization, and prioritization.
• Abilities: Maintain confidentiality; take initiative; provide organizational leadership and vision; apply student development and community‑building strategies; analyze problems and make sound decisions; foster collaborative and collegial relationships.

• Shift: Days, Monday–Friday (may require work outside standard business hours).
• Pay Band: B8;
  Salary: $45,400 annually, commensurate within the range.
