Overview
The Georgia Prevention Institute (GPI) of the Medical College of Georgia (MCG) at Augusta University (AU) invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Open Rank Position dependent on qualifications. The successful candidate must conduct human subjects research and will be expected to establish and develop an innovative and independent research program that will attract and maintain extramural funding from government agencies (e.g. the National Institute of Health), private foundations, and industry.
The ideal candidate's research program will build upon or complement the expertise of the current GPI faculty and research initiatives across the university including disciplines related aging, immunology, nutrition, cardiovascular disease, and cancer.
- Establish an independent, nationally recognized research program based on impactful publications in high-quality peer-reviewed journals
- Pursue external funding from federal agencies, foundations, or other relevant sources to support a sustained research program
- Provide service activities that benefit the MCG/GPI, the University, the profession, and the public at large
