One of our clients is seeking a Special Education Teacher in Evans, GA for the 2026-27 school year. Rates starting at $45/hour.
Client Hours- Monday - Friday
- Standard school hours
- Ensure that all students realize rigorous academic goals outlined in their IEP along with core content.
- Collaborate with school team, families, and related service providers to improve student outcomes, develop solutions and plan curriculum.
- Provide one-to-one or small group instruction, direct services, and push‑in or pull‑out instruction as required by IEP.
- Co‑teach with general educators and related service providers to ensure inclusive education practices for all students.
- Coordinate referral and assessment procedures and facilitate IEP team meetings and the implementation of special education services (Speech, Occupational therapy, etc.).
- Evaluate students' academic abilities to collaborate with team members to create and implement the best educational program, including diagnosing learning disabilities, developing intervention plans for foundational needs and student progress.
- Collaborate with psychologists and related service providers for evaluations and, when needed, administer academic assessments. Review and interpret the results to determine learners' strengths and areas of need for initial, annual and triennial IEP meetings.
- In collaboration with general educators, provide accommodations and/or modifications to learners with disabilities to provide access to grade level content and demonstrate true understanding on assessments as determined by the IEP team.
- Bachelor's degree minimum.
- Valid Special Education Teaching License in Georgia.
- Preferred: knowledge of curriculum, education code and special education law/policies.
- Experience with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and knowledge of how to lead an IEP meeting.
- Familiar with multiple methods to support students with special needs including behavioral and social‑emotional needs.
- Knowledge of ABA behavioral practices.
- Establish a relationship with one of the nation's largest referral agencies for behavioral‑health.
