Chief Executive Officer – Metter College & Career Academy / Assistant Principal (Grades 9–12)
Candler County Schools is seeking a dynamic, visionary leader to serve in a dual role as Chief Executive Officer of the Metter College & Career Academy (MCCA) and Assistant Principal for grades 9–12.
This position provides strategic leadership for the College and Career Academy, ensuring strong alignment between secondary education, postsecondary pathways, and workforce development initiatives, while also serving as a key member of the high school administrative team. The selected candidate will support daily school operations, instructional leadership, and student services while advancing innovative career pathways, business partnerships, credential attainment, and work-based learning opportunities.
This is a unique opportunity to impact student achievement, workforce readiness, and long-term economic development in Candler County.
- Bachelor’s Degree in education, business, leadership, workforce development, or related field as determined by the School System
- Valid Georgia leadership certification or eligibility as determined by the School System
- Minimum five years of leadership experience in education, business, industry, or management as determined by the School System
- Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and organizational leadership
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to build and sustain partnerships
- Master’s Degree or higher in educational leadership, business, or related field as determined by the School System.
- Minimum five years of leadership experience in education, business, industry, or management as determined by the School System
- Experience in 9–12 school administration
- Experience in Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education
- Knowledge of state and federal grants, reporting requirements, and accountability measures
- Experience in workforce development initiatives, dual enrollment, credentialing, or apprenticeship programs
- Demonstrated success aligning education initiatives with workforce and economic development needs
