Job SummaryThe Learning and Innovation Spec-1 (LIS) is a critical instructional technology consultant for students, faculty, staff, and leadership. The LIS provides consultation, training, systems analysis, and support for enterprise instructional technologies including learning management, lecture capture, secure digital assessment, course evaluation, communication, and collaboration tools.
Responsibilities- Instructional systems consultation:
Provide systems administration, systems analysis, and troubleshooting for enterprise instructional systems, including support for digital testing and urgent incident resolution. - Professional development, training, and consultations:
Provide customized training and documentation for individuals and groups and collaborate with colleges to develop and implement orientations. - Quality assurance:
Consult and advise faculty and academic leadership on the use or potential use of instructional technology and implement evidence‑based instructional design practices. - Collaborative actions with Augusta University:
Assist with projects that have a broader university impact, ensuring programs are supported before, during, and after product rollouts, system upgrades, and other instructional technology experiences. - Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Education, Instructional/Educational Technology, or a related field, and one year of relevant experience.
Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree in Education, Instructional/Educational Technology, or a related field; experience in higher education; and teaching and/or training experience.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Knowledge- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases.
- Knowledge of analysis and instructional design techniques.
- Knowledge of data analysis techniques.
- Knowledge of documentation needs and techniques.
- Ability to deal with a variety of personalities while working to accomplish detailed and technical tasks.
- Skill in training and teaching others and the ability to speak in front of an audience effectively with an engaging style.
- Experience in technology support roles or business operations using automated information systems.
- Experience assisting users with troubleshooting information system applications and excellent interpersonal communication.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Type 45 words per minute or more.
- Conduct and evaluate systems testing.
- Interpret and respond to user problems.
Shift: Days, Monday to Friday (outside normal business hours may be required for exempt positions).
Pay Band: B9.
Salary: $48,800–$61,000 per year, commensurate with qualifications.
