The Hull College of Business at Augusta University invites applications for a part time, Limited Term Instructor position to begin as soon as possible. This faculty member will provide high-quality instruction for undergraduate courses, support student learning, and contribute to the academic mission of the college. The appointment is for a defined term and is contingent upon annual funding and programmatic needs.
This position does not meet the requirements to be on a tenure track.
- Teach undergraduate courses in assigned discipline
- Deliver effective, student-centered instruction in face-to-face, hybrid, or online formats
- Maintain course materials, assessments, and learning outcomes consistent with departmental standards
- Provide academic support to students through office hours, advising, and mentoring
- Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum discussions, and limited service activities
- Support accreditation, assessment, and instructional quality initiatives as needed
MBA
Familiar with Hull College of Business processes and procedures
Experience in higher education teaching
- Consistent with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC)'s requirements for institutional accreditation;
- Evidence of ability as a teacher;
- Evidence of activity as a scholar and ability in all other duties assigned;
- Successful experience (which will necessarily be waived for those just entering the academic profession who meet all other requirements); and,
- Desirable personal qualities judged on the basis of personal interview, complete biographical data, and recommendations.
This position is academic year based and typically works August through May, depending on dates outlined in offer letter. Amount of time worked is based on work commitment.
The intended work commitment or full-time equivalent (FTE) for this position is between 0.5-0.74 FTE and is considered partially benefits eligible. The FTE will be determined at the time of hire after discussions during the interview process with the successful candidate. The selected candidate will select from a retirement plan and accrue leave at a prorated amount based on finalized FTE.
Salary and compensation is commensurate with education, experience, and achievements. The salary is subject to availability of funds.

Rank and salary are determined at the time of hire and are based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, education, credentials, specialty, training, etc. while also considering internal equity and market data.
